Does anyone know the name of this car part?

Hey guys,

Have an old banger I use for work, 06 Daihatsu Sirion 1.0.

Gear stick is rattling like crazy over last few months and I've narrowed it down to a worn piece of rubber.

Where the gear linkage rod would normally bounce around the rubber mount bit it has worn away slightly and is rattling on the metal just underneath the stick, I've attached a few pics.

Does anyone know the name of this part on cars?

Since its a shed, buy a tube of polyurethane and squirt it in the holes.

Found some silicone sealant tubes in halfords gonna give it a squirt in there , nice one .

If the drawings correct it would be part of item 2 the extension rod.

Silicone wont be any good. You need polyurethane as said above.

Or buy somethjng like this and cut it/drill to
Size.

Altho i bet you can grab that bush quite cheaply from a car parts supplier.

Thanks guys, will try the PU instead if that doesn't work will grab that block and custom cut it. Always been really hard to find parts for this car as daihatsu left the Uk number of years ago, bloody nightmare trying to find the correct clutch kit for it last year.

Thanks guys, got some PU stuff from halfords, squirted it in, bit of a bodge job but the car is a piece of **** anyway. 2 hrs later it's all set and the rattle is gone, nice one
