Well I can say the Virgin Media coverage anywhere south west of Exeter is rubbish. There has been problems on my Plymouth Exchange (or whatever there called for cable) since september last year, and they are in no hurry to fix it.

Cant say about ADSL, but in a rural area you are likely to be miles from an exchange.
