Just made me chuckle. Maybe for expensive cars I can see the point, to stop chippings, but why would you drive with a Yaris or VW beetle and a car bra?

They look absolutely gash yet seem to be flavour of the month on 'euro look' motors.

What are they there for, to stop stonechips to the leading edge of the bonnet? It just seems so pointless when fitted to a car with completely unprotected lights, bumper, grill and valance...parts which are often more likely to get stonechipped than the bonnet itself.

everybody expects stonechips. You can always get it smart repaired if you feel its effecting the value.

The 'dub' scene seem to love them. See at least 1 or 2 golf mk4/5s with them on a week. What a joke!

But by biggest gripe? They very rarely actually FIT properly! Grr!!

A mate bought a bonnet bra for his Jeep Wrangler when he had one, I didn't understand the reasoning then and don't really now. I think he just bought if for a laugh though as his Jeep was never going to do serious enough off-roading to require that sort of protection - that's even assuming it would stop much in the way of damage.

If you are that fussed you can get a clear film applied to the front of your car. Bras are a trendwhore thing.

I don't know about anyone else, but I buy a car so *I* can enjoy it and not the next owner

I think door bras would be better - for when you park at the supermarket..
