Hi guys,

i'm after a new car and i'm in 2 minds about what to get

I want a Honda Civic type R EP3 or Audi TT Quattro 225 but not sure which way to go

Anyone own either of these cars? what would you recommend?

As im 21 due to high insurance my budget for the car is 5K as i need all the rest of my money to insure the car!

Two completely different cars, one is revvy and nimble, the other is more blunt and punchy.

I have a TT 225, it's fast compared to what I've driven before, but it's no real sports car. Also, stupid electrical things go wrong a lot! If you don't like getting your hands dirty, don't bother.

I've got an EP3. All I can say is test drive one as you might not get along with the engine and may want to go down the turbo route.

Thanks guys, well i had a Honda 1.5 LSI Civic before and my uncle has an integra DC2, my dad has an S2000 and my bro has a DC5 so our family do like the Honds scene :), im down for the Vtec route mate

but at the same time id like a turbo TT! im happy to get my hands dirty mate :)

I just want one of those 2 cars, i want something quicker now. I have waited my time because i had a Peugeot 106 1.1L for a year then i had a Seat Ibiza 1.4L for 2 years which i still have.

EP3 and TT both look nice and their not short of power, i just cant make my mind up lol

Thanks guys!

nah mate he's not sorry

I cant wait for the day he sells his DC2 because i want it, i love the fact of a naturally aspirated engine thats so powerful, oh how i love the B-Series :)

Is there a link to see any pics of your DC2 mate?

Can't say I was impressed with the Audi when I drove my uncles.

I would have suggested a early 350z but its 9 groups higher on the insurance than the Audi which would probably kill you at your age.

I used to have a Civic Type-R and an Audi TT 3.2 V6. Both are good cars in their own way but as said above, both very different so it depends what you want.

If I had to choose it would be the TT, it might not be as sharp as the CTR but it's a better all round car in my opinion
