Does anyone prefer MS Edge to other browsers?

I only really use it when I'm trying to access a site that bugs out on me, usually, government sites or some business pages seem to be developed for IE/EDGE primarily.

Once you get tied into some great extensions and themes then it's hard to even give Edge a look in. It comes in handy on the odd site like Ammyy admin to download the .exe as Chrome and Firefox tend to throw a wobbly and it was the best one to use with my SkyGo before they created their own app but after that it gets little use.

I wrote off Edge some time ago because it just wouldn't work nicely with Citrix or Webex and too many sites wouldn't display properly. I've been giving it another shot off the back of this thread though and I'm pleasantly surprised. It's actually pretty decent, although I don't use much in the way of extensions.

Prefer Opera over anything else currently. I haven't really found anything that gives me problems and I like being able to specify what shows on a new tab page - something Edge won't let you do. My new tab page is a custom Heimdall page served from my web server.

What makes you hate it?

I like to be able to customise my browsers with bits and pieces that I have found over the years. First among them is an ad blocker, I know AdBlock and a few others work but I prefer Ublock Origin and that doesn't work with it (as far as I know).

I like Google Chrome it is better than other browsers. Chrome is lighter than other ones. And Microsoft Edge is heavier. When I want to open heavy websites like government websites then I prefer Edge or Explorer.

Chrome is about the fattest memory hog going. But I still use it. :p

Better with the latest update though I think.

I don't have any real issues with edge but I prefer chromium based browsers. I stick with chrome just for syncing across devices but my favourite desktop browser is vivaldi. When they release an android browser with sync enabled, I'll probably ditch chrome entirely :)

Can't say I ever really use Edge. I've been a Chrome user since about version 3 and have never really looked at another browser since I started using Chrome.

Worst thing about Edge is the way it manages Favourites. They are stored in a database. If Edge thinks the database has a problem it just resets and starts a new one, losing all your Favourites. If you want to export your favourites to another browser you need to use third-party tools.

Also, for some reason, you cannot save web pages.

I was using Edge for a while, following the last big update. I did like its look and it was fast but I also use a lot of Google's services, so Google bullied me back into using Chrome with constant messages about trying Chrome, this is faster in Chrome etc etc.
