Reddit is far from that if you browse the right subs - but totally agree that's how the main page can be lol.Lol Reddit. 2% interesting stuff, 3% memes, 95% politically correct "I am a...." nonsense.
If OCUK had a dislike option would anyone use it, I'm not sure i could be that Mean?
Post something factual that's unpleasant to hear and watch the downvotes role in.
People look to confirm their biases, not hear the painful facts.
This forum will descend into the same nonsense if the voting system was activated. There's something about people and numbers or watching things tick up or down that I cannot get my head around. It appears to mean a lot to them
Change the sort order from the default "hot" to "oldest first" and it makes a lot more senseOther reason I don't like Reddit. I never understand their forum format. Always get lost .
The human element and the art of communicating the english language is also getting lost. So many people don't want to discuss things anymore, good or bad, loved or hated. Everything is bandwagon reactions. You just have to look across the Internet today to see how people cannot communicate normally. Everything is about point scoring. To achieve what? To fit in with the mob they cannot see?
I don't ever remember the Internet like this in the 2000s. It was a totally different place. People loved to discuss without wanting to actually rip each others throats out.
100% this chap was either in an echo chamber for a long time or was reading encarta 95.This is nonsense, since day one the internet has been full of arguing and trolling.
