Hi,

In the Nvidia tab (aftyer Coolbits) does the auto detect clock settings work for memory and GPU??

I'm not going to trust them but wondered how accurate they are. They suggested a change of the following -

From 370Mhz -> 422Mhz

From 1.05Ghz -> 1.15Ghz

I'm just curious if its right at all?

Whoop :)

i'm under the impression that thats not a Radeon 9550 he's overclocking. Never seen a radeon 9550 with 1.05Ghz memory lol

nor a radeon made by nvidia. :p

Lol :p

Hi all, (Easyrider :) )

The one in my sig needs replacing but I keep forgetting, its Kingpin: LOC plus my MCE machine spec. :o

The machine at test at the minute is -

AMD Athlon XP2800+
2Gb Corsair Cas3 PC3200 (purely for Bf2)
Nvidia 6800GS OC

So the auto detect is more likely to underclock than overclock hmmmm?

I still need to do try a pipe unlock too, but 3dmark 03 default settings gave me -

9885 Marks @ stock 370Mhz/1.05Ghz

10478 Marks @ 400Mhz/1.10Ghz

I haven't dared do the 422Mhz/1.15Ghz in case it was potentially damaging.

Do I seriously have to sit and watch it for artifacts for however long it runs each time too :o

It's highly advisable, especially using auto-detect, when I used my GS, coolbits would jack the memory speed up way too high and artifacts would always start to show after a bit. Better to watch whats happening rather than toasting your card... :D

Just did 420Mhz/1.15Ghz - 3D Mark 03 score is now.... 10810 :)

Didn't watch EVERY single screen but did keep my eye on it, seems clear enough to my eyes :o

The temps seem fine so I don't know if I should go higher or leave it at that, what setting would I be best leaving it at full time? Stock or one of the others. :)

Its a BFG by the way.

EDIT - 1000 extra marks from stock, is that normal these days??

EDIT2 - Emlyn_Dewar what did your GS get to by the way?
