Thinking about getting it, but not sure I'd like the "Empire" time setting, as I loved the Medieval setting before.

Try the demo on Steam or something if you want to check compatibility

...I'm hopefully going to try the demo in a second if Steam will allow me to log on....I love Rome:total war, so hopefully this will be the same

I've played all the total war games except Empire, and I'm really not sure about the latest total war.

I've herd good things about it, but I honestly didn't think they'd drop the "swords" kinda thing.

I think its great, I love the setting. I also loved Rome (never played Med, it didn't really appeal to me)

I still suck at naval warfare though.

I am shocked it doesn't use 4 cores !! this is probably the only game on the planet that deserved 4 cores!

Any hints for me, in the sea battles mine didn't run too well with 2x AA and 1920x1080 with the water quality on highest ( just bout 25 ish iirc), dropping water Q to high fixed my fps though.

Yea, I run water on High rather than Ultra because it hits the fps a bit too much.

Arnt they meant to be patching it later in the year to support more cores. from reading around its only using 1 more at the minute isnt it ?

Surely if it were that simple they would have done that for release. I think it would have been a good selling point.

Well from what I have been told this game is only using 1 core. And later in the year June July they are going to put a patch out for more cores.

Thia game need quad core support !

Not really...Just tried the demo on my rig (X2 4400) and it ran rather well.
