Does graphic card work harder dependent on screen size?

Hi
Just a quick query and maybe a huge noob question
Does a graphic card work harder/struggle on screen size or is it purely down to resolution?

For instance would my 780 have to use more grunt being used on a 40" tv at 1080p as opposed to being played on a 22" at 1080p??

I do believe the TV will take the grunt to power all those pixels in the screen and the GPU will just have the task of just the resolution. I'm sure it's something like this but not certain.

Its all down to resolution. Screen size doesn't matter.

Both screens will have the same amount of pixels to power, just in the 40" they'll be bigger pixels.
