Just found a massive spider so i hoovered it up to get rid rather than making a mess on the floor by whacking it...so do spiders die when you hoover them up or are they likely to crawl out in the middle of the night and lay eggs in my ear while i sleep? :p

Probably laying eggs in your hoover right now. Then when you empty it... Bam!

The only solution is to burn your house down, ensuring that the hoover remains inside while it smoulders.

The dust and dirt in the bag makes a perfect home for the common garden spider. It's very likely that eggs will be laid there because it's safe, warm and dark. They are going to kill you.

NO way a spider can survive my Dyson, the forces imparted on its body literally tears them apart.

Really don't understand why people are scared of spiders.

Its moths what you need to be scared of! The horrible things go for your face at night time :(

That's one of the reasons I bought the DC25. The spinny thing at the front crushes then then they're spun round so fast they get torn limb from limb :D

I prefer the spiders to satisfy their diet - the stuff they eat is nastier (in the sense they can be bugs that would bite mammals and/or carry icky pathogens) than they are themselves.

Creating a spider-free zone just invites everything else in.

You may end up eating one or two subconsciously though.. thems the breaks!

Stick a cup over the spider, shove a piece of paper underneath it and throw it out the window/door. That's how I get rid of them, can't bring myself to kill them :p.
