Hi

I'm delving into the world of smartphones having ordered a HTC Desire which will be delivered tomorrow.

I'm lookin on ebay for an 8GB card (should be enough I reckon) and there's a big variation in price.

Is there really any difference between them and which should I get?

Cheers :)

Well, to be honest for general use not really - I suppose if you plan to make heavy use of large files then perhaps a more expensive higher speed one will do better.

...mostly, I've just got music or video on my MicroSD card, and so as long as those play stutter free then that's me satisfied. Any MicroSD card can sustain a meg a second so that's those criteria met :P

Just make sure its not a fake one. Get it from a reputable eBay store.

I didn't think there was a thing called reputable on ebay when it comes to memory cards.

I suggest just avoiding ebay altogether and getting it from a reputable site.

True - but sometimes on ebay you see sellers with tens of thousands of feedback ratings; I'd trust them especially for (say) a tenner for a MicroSD card. If it doesn't work or has the wrong capacity you can always let them know it's faulty... :)

As it happens, it came with an 8GB sandisk one anyway. I'd already bought an 8GB one off ebay though....

yeah massive thread on the desire, a lot of it goes clear over my head, but found youtube had some good guides on the desire.
