when i was younger i was making tea for me and my granda, i was about to pour the tea into the cup when i got told off and he said that you should put the milk in first and then the tea? i was thinking wtf, that doesnt make a differece.

according to him, it does as there is a different order of chemical reaction... yea right.

has anyone else been told this or know if this it ture or if it makes a better cup of tea.

to this day i make tea and coffee and add the milk last

Always Teabag/Water/sugar/leave for a minute/stir/milk

Reminds me of a trick students used to play at school. Going into the communal showers unscrewing the shower head off and placing in a teabag. When the water heated up a little it would shower the unwitting victim with warm tea!

Instant coffee is undrinkable, disgusting stuff.

Yes! But when it's instant or nothing, use two spoons of coffee, pour an inch of milk on, stir it loads with a spoon then top up the mug halfway with boiling water and stir again. If you need sugar, put it in with the coffee at the start!

If you've done it right it goes a tiny bit foamy on top and tastes good!

I always put milk in first cos I'm posh.

If you are posh then the fine bone china cups used can withstand the impact of boiling water. Its the cheap mugs that crack.

Seriously, if you drink instant coffee, try putting the milk in first and giving it a good stir! It DOES taste better! I'd take a blindfold test...
