Does OCUK forums have an iOS app yet?

https://xenforo.com/help/importing/

Can't see it being too hard. But as I said above, they'll probably want to keep their trust system and shop-forum software link integration, both of which are directly tied in with vBulletin.

I think the problem is getting time (and skills) to actually properly plan and implement what is quite a complex migration.

It'd be nice just to update to a newer vB. New theme to go with it. This forum makes them money so it'd be nice to update it.

Say What Now?!?!?!?

:p

Same here mate! Had to revert to a waaay older version of Opera but, after genuinely wondering why a colour change was worth bothering, I'm so happy with it.

I didn't realise it was a theme not just color so it really makes a big difference.

To be honest I really don't have an issue as it is. The theme is fine and I have no issue it on tablet or mobile as is.

One of the other forums which I frequent migrated to xenforo earlier in the year and whilst the interface might be cleverer it just doesn't feel as solid as it did and I am sure that overall traffic is lower than it was before the change.

As for an app, why the hell do you want one.

Yep. They were great when we all had 320x240 2" screens but now we have about 50 times that we don't need oversize text and no content per page... One of the worst is Wordpress for that, even when requesting desktop themes you still get the mobile version most of the time!

What I really don't get is how many mobile sites are actually slower (patty, loading) than the full sites they are trying to replace...

Talkphotography? They changed a few months ago and it isn't just not as slick and fluid as VB, especially on mobile, where it's just clunky!

Big thing for me would be the 'NEW POST' list to stop resetting at midnight.

Why does it even need to do that, it should just provide a set number of pages filled with the recent posted threads.

They're probably just built terribly.

But I agree, I hate mobile sites, the majority of sites should be responsive.

I find mobile sites really annoying.

Heck, I view the crazy animated picture thread on my N5, underclocked to like 1.5ghz with no lag. :p
But seriously, I find myself always using the 'use desktop version' on chrome with the horrid mobile sites.

Engadget is a prime example, the bbc site is just as bad. Neither actually give any descrptions, just titles, in their responsive themes. As I said Wordpress themes are terrible for this as well.
