Does P35 Chipset Support PCIE 2.0

I'm really confused, I'm looking for a motherboard to last a while and preferably want to get a P35 over an X38 due to the cost difference. I have read that the P35 does and doesn't support PCIE 2.0.

it's pci-e v1.1, which is backwards compatible with pci-e v2.0 cards.

So, if you bought a pci-e v2.0 gfx card, it WILL work in your board. (just lookup the 88gt/88gts 512, ad see how many people have them running in the same board as you, they're pci-e v2.0)

I think my Rev 2.0 Gigabyte P35C has PCI-E 2.0

I think that means the board is Rev. 2.0...very confusing label.

that means the board is rev 2, mine is rev 1.2, it's not pci-e 1.2 though.

I have a P35 DS3 Rev 1 running a G92 8800 GTS 512 just fine, card also ran in my last board P965 DS3

I read that P35 does in fact support PCI-E 2.0 but it's disabled. Which is why we have the X38.
