Does such a fan controller exist?

haha, I know. But for my future upgrades I am looking at a full custom loop, 360 rad on the front, and a 280 rad on the top. All with corsair SP fans, in a push pull config, due to the size of the radiators in this config, the fans can run at lower RPMs, and therefore quieter, while still achieving an adequate level of cooling performace.

Because 'CPU_FAN' is the only real PWM controlled fan header on many motherboards. More often than other 4-pin fan headers are not PWM.

Tealc's little custom control adapters work very well. I have both his and the Phanteks hubs. I like his better because their rpm curve is manually adjustable as well as PWM controlled. This gives a wider range of control.
 
NNNN makes a good point, but it depends on thickness/fpi of your radiators and ability

Basically fans do not increase airflow by stacking them in push/pull. But stacking them does increase their static pressure rating, which means they can overcome more resistance which can result in more airflow .. depending on fan usable spec.

Good fans like Gentle Typhoon, Vardar, etc. with the ability to overcome higher resistance benefit little from being stacked.

I found the quietest way to WC is as much rad space as possible with as low fin density as possible... I have 2 x 480mm rads with 7 FPI. 8 fans running as slow as possible. Higher FPI rads IMO are just compromising for smaller than ideal rads...
 
I've got a Grid V2+, don't buy it... It can't cope with a lot of voltages on fans so you get these constant rev ups randomly for no reason.

I'm about to find a solution myself for the new build which 12 fans in so far...
 
I ended up buying the Phanteks PWM fan controller, works really well. I've currently got it plugged into the CPU_OPT fan header, this is because i'd rather have my cpu fan going straight into the board, just incase the fan hub fails. Can take upto 10 fans I believe, haven't yet taken it this far, but I hope to in the future. A big thanks to everyone in this thread, you helped a lot.
