Does the PS3 have GamerPoints like the 360?

As title really. I am limited to what I can view at work so can't get much luck from google due to sites being blocked.

Just interested really, I love the whole achievements thing on the 360.

I heard from some old news that PS3 will have 'entitlements' which is basically another word for xbox's achievements. Dunno if its been implemented tho.

When i had my ps3 there was a sort of an achievement system, if you did certain objectives you would unlock bonuses for the game but that's it, also that was only on resistance. So there is no real from of gamerscore system
