does the ram speed affect the max oc possible?

but asrock dont run a dual bios system do they, i know its pretty safe these days but according to their site

1. Update LAN boot ROM to V2.35
2. Added "Hot Plug Support" for AHCI SATA port.

is all thats added, and as i dont need either of those, is there any point risking it?

I personally would - it takes ~ 1 minute and is pretty much fool proof. I always flash as soon as new updates are out.
