Software to move from Raid0 to normal hard disks, without losing any data?

After all you shouldn't HAVE to lose any information to do this I'd have thought? It's just shifting data around. So -- does such a thing exist?

depends on the controller usually

what controller/chipset is it on?

acronis true image can do it with all the configs i've tried, besides nvidia raid to non nvidia raid

You don't need special software, just copy the files over to a temporary source and re-format. No way of doing it without the temporary storage space though.

use acronis like Bledd mentioned, make a complete image off drive c, which is raid 0 to either an external HD etc, then reboot to mount raid array mine is ctrl I for my onboard raid controller, then remove in the the menu the raid u created, then reboot with the acronis boot disc in the drive to restore the image that is on the external drive to the first drive in the PC. thats all that is needed.

please feel free to correct or add, :-)

you can't simply copy and paste a system drive

Yup, but he didn't say it was a system RAID. Image the drive then but I guess it's best not to restore the original MBR, there's something weird about taking disks out of an array and using them singly.

I have moved out a raid0 etc to a single disc without any problems a few times. the only difference in the speed is the destination have a slower or faster than the source as in if your moving your system "example" from a raid 0 off 2 drives to raid0 off four drives is going to be much faster.
