Does this exist? Minimum spec.

13-15.6" screen
250gb hd
Intel i3 processor
3 gb ram
Dedicated graphics card
DVD RW/Blu Ray Rom drive
Wifi & Bluetooth
HDMI & USB Connectivity
9 Cell battery
Sleek sexy and small design lol.

Any help appreciated.

Take a look at the Samsung Q430, its 14" I believe, has a dedicated Nvidia GPU, Intel i3 processor and I think it also has a DVD Writer but not a Blu-ray, not too sure about 9 cell battery but life is meant to be decent and it looks good, its really designed to be a Windows "Macbook Pro" but its around £500-£600 to buy, also there is a Q330 with a 13" screen and i3 but no Dedicated GPU.

There isn't a massive choice.

You have the Acer Timeline X 3820TG, expensive, comes with HD5470. Not very sexy. There is apparently a version with HD 5650, but not available in Europe, and has overheating problems.

Asus U35Jc. Similar to the Acer 3820TG.

The Samsung QX310 / QX410, with GT310M, also expensive. Sexy looking, but lacks graphics power. I think they come with bluray drives.

The Samsung Q430. Lacks graphics power and battery not that great great with regard to the competition.

The Acer Travelmate 8371 / Timeline 3810TZG. It's a CULV processor, a HD4330, so lacks in power but looks sturdy, very cheap, no optical drive (external USB bluray recommended).

The HP Envy 14, with HD5650, and has the optional battery extension (a flat battery that fits underneath the laptop). It's like a MacBook Pro 15 in many respect, but HP doesn't sell the high res screen option over here. Not exactly slim and light. No bluray drives.

There is also the HP DM4t, but I don't think it's available in the UK (i5 + HD5470). That would be the ideal solution, it has good battery life, good performance, and looks cool in its metal chassis.

Oh and of course the Sony Vaio Z. Awesome little machine, except for the fact that it costs £2500 for a good config.

It's really frustrating as I want something small but capable of great things and blu-ray which seems to be the setback. I would have just got a Macbook Pro 13" but it lacks bluray. I'll have a look at those choices guys thanks.

Ok guys does this open up more options?

13-15.6" screen
3 gb ram
DVD RW/Blu Ray Rom drive
Wifi & Bluetooth
HDMI & USB Connectivity
Good battery life.

I'm thinking if a laptop comes with a blu-ray drive then the processor/graphics card combination isn't that important as it should be capable of playing blu ray and HD content.
I don't really like the cases on some of these except the Sony Z series but that's silly prices.

Just found this for £550, not sure it has HDMI and the battery life isn't so great.

Samsung R580, some come with bluray drives and GT330M. But, bluray drives come almost exclusively on entertainment / desktop replacement laptops, that means 17'' screens to make use of the bluray resolution (900p / 1080p), big and heavy, and poor battery life.

Most notebooks don't bother as the screens can make full use of bluray anyway (except through external HDMI).

The Samsung RF710 would fit that 'sleek' category, as well as the Envy 17.

Most notebook are able to play HD content, even those fitted with GMA4500HD cards or through the i5 and i3 IGP, and the power of the processor itself.

Apart from the RF710, I'm not sure if the new samsung series (RF510, QX410, SF310) have bluray drives, which I doubt, but the QX / SF series is aimed at mobility (at least some).

Sony Vaio's makes bluray laptops, or at lest usually provides the option, as well as high res screens, but their battery life is poor.

Acer aspire 5943G - I7 740QM quad, HD5850 mobile, 8GB ram, 640GB HDD, blueray, 8 cell battery.

:p

If you can find an Acer aspire timelineX with HD5650 graphics around (they come in 13, 14 or 15 inch sizes, though the 13 does not have an optical drive) then that would be ideal.

you 'could' replace an optical drive with a bluray drive. It's usually one of the easier components to upgrade / replace on a laptop. You'll need to find a compatible bluray drive to fit in, and see if the laptop makes it a simple operation. The main issues would be the mounting brackets, the position of the eject button, the eject pinhole, and the faceplate clips. And the fact that the faceplate will say 'DVD-RW' instead of bluray. It's a risk (you could be wasting £70 on something that wont work), but you'll struggle to find a MBP 13 lookalike with an bluray drive.

The new Samsungs are nice, but for me they still lack some of the niceties I'd like to be an outstanding notebook. Bluray drive, better resolution (900p) and viewing angles, and backlit keyboard. And also slightly better graphics card (HD5650 or there about), with a well designed heat management.

I think i'll wait to see what the next set of macbooks are like. I'm hoping for Bluray to be added. For it to look and feel good to me is really important and I know it's probably not for some but I like the gimmick factor of things ha.
