I want to turn an old PC into a media pc for my TV. I intend to buy a graphics card with HDMI out. However I'm checking the motherboard can accept a PCI-e graphics card.
I googled the board and found it selling on 2 different sites. On one site it states it has PCI E 16x 2.0 interface - perfect that would work. HOWEVER on the other site it states its a PCI express interface but not 16x - not usable for modern graphics cards.
I tried to search for the board on ACER's support page, it just returned service not available. I tried via ECS site (which someone claimed the motherboard was ESC) nothing found.
The PC is an ACER and the motherboard is 946GZT-AM.
Serial \number: Q9612211472B8EF2
Does anyone know if this is a PCI-e 16x interface or not?
i was going to add this graphics card.
MSI G210 1GB DDR3 DVI VGA HDMI PCI-E Graphics Card
I only want to play internet TV and downloaded MKV and AVI video files via my TV using this set up
