Does this sound right - mpg

I have a 07 plate A3 and just curious about my mpg as I feel it drains quick when I drive very cautiously!

I filled up £20 at £1.32 a litre, and I'm already needing to fill up just over 100 miles driven. Maybe I'm being stupid but does that sound average?!

Yeah sorry 1.6 engine. I tend to average about 60-70mph to work and do about 130 miles a week.

My car doesn't show my mpg it doesn't show a lot to be honest!

Still depends entirely on what kind of driving you do.

80% of my commute to work is on the motorway with some town driving.

Is there any way to check it's all ok? My service went fine. Air filter? Always check my tyre pressure etc. I'm a cautious driver.

Then fill the tank up again. To the top, again. Then note how many litres of fuel you've just bought. Use this together with the reading on the odometer to work out exactly what your mpg is.

Putting 20 quid in 'until the light comes on' is not going to give you an accurate consumption figure. It could be out by loads either way!

I filled it once and got around 370 miles if I remember correctly. (I got it when my job was good ha)

I'll keep you posted on my findings!
