Howdy,

I'm looking to bag another PC for gaming/video/web work, and come to the below.

I'm welcome to any changes to the below, however I DO NOT want a dual core, has to be quad!

I already own a Noctua NH-U12P CPU Cooler (Socket AM2/LGA775) to cool the CPU.

Thanking you!

should be okay to power it but you'll need adapters as the 4870 x2 needs 4 pci-e power connectors iirc.

doesnt the sapphire come with molex adaptors? I got 2 pci-e power cables with my corsair, so need another two. Or on the other hand, what psu would you recommened that has all the cables ready to go?

most 4870x2's do I think, mine definately did and I'm pretty sure it's a saphire (bit of a disgrace that I don't know, tbh it was the cheapest!) and a 620W PSU should power what you've specced! my 600W has had no problems with a similar spec but a e6600.

As mentioned above, I've added the 1000w to make it future proof, but also, I read on the sapphire site that they suggest a 650w+ PSU, so better safe than sorry I suppose.

I'd with the zalman 850w over that corsair, apparently it's quieter under load and you'll save a wee bit as well. 850w is plenty powerful for ages to come.

Hmm the blue LED effect puts me off that slightly, any idea what connectors comes with that one?
