Does XP64 need more Virtual Memory?

I have to 2gb, with my Pagefile set to 3072mb

I have been getting 'Out of Virtual Memory' messages. Windows sets it to around 5200

Should i let Windows manage my pagefile?
Or just set it to 6gb maybe?

OK, so i've been reading in another thread that with 2gb of memory, windows shouldn't really be needing to use a large pagefile.

Why then is mine using 5gb? Im not that bothered about it - if it works it works, im just curious
Could playing a resource hungry game like Stalker for example, push the usage up?
