Does your dad know how to kill this with fire?

How do you not notice that? Not going into a spare room for months is fine, but surely that would be generating a lot of heat and noise!

You'd have thought there'd have been some clue wouldn't you? I realise that you might not have used the room in 3 months but wouldn't most people have nipped in to dust/Hoover/dump something in the room at least once in that time?

Oh come on - be fair. We've all had that embarrassing moment when you suddenly realise there are 5,000 wasps living in your spare room/hat/trouser pocket...

Either good soundproofing, or hard of hearing. And snug fitting doors :p

Although most people wouldn't leave three months between visits to any room, even a spare one. That's the most bizarre thing. Most people at least pop in to open/close windows occasionally, when it's too hot/cold in the house :p
