I have no noticeable droop on my cards. If the jack cost less than a fiver I'd probably buy one.

Yep , I have that in my Lian-li case and its about as useful as a chocolate fireguard
It cant hold any weight at all (metal bar with plastic clip on stoppers) , when
the weight of the card is put on one it just clicks and falls off, its totally useless

Cpu coolers
I think there would be scope to use a system like this for cpu coolers as some of them can be very heavy. but then i suppose youd have to have 2 one for gfx and one for cpu

Ive only experienced this with a single slot asus en 8800gt.
i get same problem with mines. Seems to be a natural curve with it.
cards dont droop when in that orientation. If it was 45 YES that would be fail.
