Driving back from Leeds, chatting to colleague and take a GATSO at 70 leptons (it's a motorway thingy) in a 50 zone, spark camera flash. So over 15 years of nice clean licence looks down the drain.....and I only have myself to blame as there is zero excuse for getting GATSO'd

....then 3 miles from home, local village I am pootling a circa 40 leptons as I gently brake into a 30 zone and what's looking me in the face.....a bloody camera van.

Life, it's not fair sometimes. :(

You're probably seething, even a bit down, but two in one day? Stay away from sharp things for the rest of the night :p

It's odd, today I felt detached from my car like never before, lots on my mind n stuff so not paying attention like I normally do and the GATSO was just stupid. The van however just added insult to injury.

Meh on way to Scotland I must have seen half a dozen, every time I think I could have been done and I'm man enough to admit I was speeding on purpose.

I know the feeling of detachment from driving when your minds going a mile a minute, no regard to speed, stopping distance, surroundings or cameras. Not come a cropper yet

I drove most of the M6 yesterday at 70 barring congestion.

Then someone said at work how annoying the 40/50 mph limits are on the M6.

In the zone man, felt good.

Ive phoned the police and told them the car was for sale and I had some bloke who drives a silver E39 5 series test driving it, so I KNOW it was nowhere near 70.

So long as you spoke to Burnsy or Von, you'll probably manage to pull that one off.

:D

A lot of the times you might get away with those vans. I was taking my missus to work for a meeting with HR. There is a stretch of road which always has a van so I should have known better. Overtook a car doing 80ish and it was right there in my face so I slammed on my brakes and was so angry with myself because I should have known better. A two week wait and nothing came through. I dunno how I got away with it. Tea break, changing film, pointing at the car who was in front of me? Who knows.

I've had a similar day

Two months ago I hired a car while searching for a new car, today the hire company calls me and tells me I've got a parking fine. I've got a vague idea where I parked but I didn't get a ticket on the screen, it also seems a long time to wait before sending a letter.

Then coming home down a country road doing 40? (30 limit) I see a camera van parked up.
Flipping old people have been playing traffic cop lately with some speed detectors on loan, so now I guess they have called in the police to nab a few offenders. Why can't old people just die instead of annoying tired drivers :/
