Doing overclocking - do you ... ?

Got a question to ask, doing overclocking - do you increasing all fans speed to high mode during overclocking on the Antec 1200 case - High speed fans enabled on the front three, two on the back rear and the top exhaust fan ?
 
I don't think changing the fan speeds on the case would have much effect on the CPU temperature, but don't quote me on that. I'm sure you wouldn't be happy with the OC if you had to have the fans on high all the time :P. Unless you're just seeing how far you can go.
 
If your on air cooling (cpu) then increasing the overal cooler air coming into the case will help cpu temp, not a great deal but it will help, also it will help the motherboard temps too.

So therefor its not really a necessity to put all fans to maximum, but aslong as you are happy with the temps you are getting when you overclock then there is no need to boost them to max.

For example i have 2 intakes(front) and 1 out (top) on my antec 300, (rear is taking up by a radiator).

My fans are only ever on full when its a hot day, normally they are on low to mid, and that is with my 24/7 overclock in my sig.
 
I find it so strange, before I was on 3 x 2gb of 1600Mhz ram with dram volt of 1.65v at timing 8.8.8.24 and got 4Ghz with temp of 85, 85, 82, 83 (1 hour full load) with all case fans on low speed. Now, I had decided to take memory ram out and replaced with 6 x 2gb of 1333Mhz ram with dram volt of 1.50v at timing 9.9.9.24 and got 4Ghz with temp of 79, 79, 76, 77 (1 hour full load) with all case fans on low speed. Big huge difference on core temperature between 6gb 1600Mhz 8.8.8.24 1.65v and 12gb 1333Mhz 9.9.9.24 1.50v as it so strange indeed.

I was surprise that 12gb of ram was accepted on overclocked 4Ghz.

It does help, it can reduce my i7's temperature by up to 5 degrees Celsius. Then again it's too noisy :p
 
Increaseing the 3 front fans to full with dust filter in makes no difference to my i7 exept a hell of a noise. turning the 2 rears and the top fan to med make a huge difference to my temps. Also taking the dustfilters out the front seems to make a diff when turning the fronts up but not worth there noise imo.
 
I think I only put my fans on full when stress testing lol, normally theyre running about 1000rpm and thats fine for me :) Will make a slight difference, but given the noise increse it may not be worth it
