I have just bought a new domain name for a website and want to use it to replace the old name. I have a lot of pictures hosted on that domain though and would like to not have to relink all of them with the new name, so I was wondering if there was any way of having the new name as the main name which people visit but still allowing the old name links to function?

Yep I have done that, what I want though is not just to have the domain pointing to it, I want the website and all pages to be the new name (so no one sees the old ULR) but still have the old links work. Is this possible with just redirecting?

I own both names and they are pointed to the same area.

I have now decided to leave the old site as it is and just migrate anything I want to the new site, that way I can start from scratch which I have wanted to do for a while. I am just going to leave the old site as it is and wait for the domain to run out then delete the files.

Having said that is there any way of moving the whole of gallery 2 over to the new site? How would I do that without affecting the database? Or would it just be a good idea to start from scratch there as well?

Thanks

Depending on your host, you could setup the new domain as a domain alias. This would mean that both domains will work in the same way:

domain1.com/pagename.asp

domain2.co.uk/pagename.asp

Will both go to the same page. Same with the email.
