Domain Redirection

i have a domain i pay for. i want it to redirect to a different address
i'm right in thinking i don't need have a hosting package for this to work?
can i do the redirection or does the provider need to do it?

It depends on your provider - some will offer redirection as part of the service (Gandi do for example).

seems like they will do this for me (TSO host)
no need for the hosting so i'm happy with that
