Hi Ive got loads of webspace that I dont really use but need a domain with email.

Is it possible to buy the domain through someone like 123reg and also be able to have at least one email address from that domain?

Thanks

Just had a look at 123reg and they want to charge you 75p a month for one email address. Seems a bit steep to me as I could get hosting and unlimited email for about £20 a year.

You can always register a domain, and as long as you have DNS control you can set the MX to Google and setup gmail on the domain. Of course, it's not perfect... you get ads served up and the like based on your the contents of your emails, amongst other things but for free... it's not bad.

I've just moved to doing exactly that. :)

Some domains (123reg and 1and1 registered) have webspace on my local server, others have nothing at all but they do have email addresses.

I get my domains from Namecheap and if you leave the domain parked with them you get email forwarding or POP3 boxes (5 I think it is).
