Dominos

There are Dominos adverts all over the phone boxes in my area. Nearest Dominos? 1 hour 10 mins away :p

Same here. A round trip would take about an hour yet we still get leaflets through the door.

Pizza Hut is just 3 miles down the road but won't deliver despite being within their advertised 5-mile radius.

But tbh, my local pizza place does decent pizzas, I can get 2 pizzas plus a side order for the price of one pizza from Dominos/Pizza Hut and I'm supporting a local business.

Not sure if i'm reading this wrong, but who else's fault would it be if you don't update your phone number? :p
not my fault you can only select your address from a drop down menu that gets it wrong.

nearly every website has it wrong though but most are
183 blabla street , blabla court so they can still find it

although nearly every other website lets you manually input the address to fix it which is smart

obviously bla bla street is not on blabla court...

where as bla bla court is on bla bla street because it makes sense.

anyway if I remember right my mobile number was on my profile they just didn't have the sense to ring it and rang a land line instead.

actually I just checked the address format and I was incorrect but it's still wrong and means the house number doesn't appear on the uber short sticker

House number should always come first surely? there are 14 letters and 2 spaces before my house number the dominos way

obviously you can put it in the additional delivery info but I used to put the code to get in the block so they didn't have to ring the intercom for me to buzz them in

I don't understand how companies think forcing that address drop down system on people is a good idea they could at least give a choice

papa john at least gets it right and lets you type in your own address

Bath Dominos is pretty good.
We've got a Papa John's too, but I've only ever ordered once- the 'garlic' dip was enough to prevent any further trade...
And the new Pizza Hut Delivery branch won't deliver to my area, despite being the only one on the same side of the city as me.

Dominos it is then...

Our dominoes won't deliver to our address via online but will if you call them up. I emailed their head office and got this response.

Dear Christopher

We have checked our systems and upon entering your postcode it shows that, unfortunately, you are outside of the Winchester store’s designated delivery area.

As you know all of our stores have designated delivery areas, which I am sure you will appreciate.

At Domino’s we do believe in customer service and our aim is to deliver a fresh, hot and tasty pizza within approximately half an hour of receiving an order.

The operation of a store has been set up to individually make pizzas within 22 – 24 minutes, which leaves 6 – 8 minutes to deliver.

I hope you understand that we would very much like to deliver to everyone but this is just not possible

Occasionally managers use their discretion and deliver to customers slightly outside the stores official delivery area and this appears to have been the case for you with this store when phoning your orders through to them.

Unfortunately our website cannot make this decision and therefore we suggest you continue to place your orders via the telephone.

I hope you understand that we would very much like to deliver to everyone but this is just not possible.

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused in this matter.

If it arrives cold I think you get it free, no?

So that's good..just put it in the oven/microwave for a bit and you get a free delish pizza.

I've got family who work for dominoes and can get free pizza if so desired, yet I'd still pay for pizza hut!
There far to stingy with there toppings and im no fan of the crumbs they spread the base with! But there dip (garlic & herb?) is pretty damn good!

I've ordered from dominos twice, both times the pizza's were horrible with very little cheese (I ordered double cheese) and they charged me about £10-15 for the pleasure. Although it wasn't all bad, I did have a garlic bread pizza that was lush :D

Sainsbury's fresh pizza's (from the pizza counter) are lovely, you can get a 14" with 3 toppings for £3.50.

You have a rubbish store then, Our store has the pizza cooked and ready to go out the door within 12-14 minutes of recieving the order.

@ Arknor, If you call the store and ask them to update your details they will, there is a seperate delivery sticker printed out for drivers with delivery instructions that you can ask to be added to your details making future deliveries faster.

i want to try papa johns but my nearest store is in sale, 15 miles away.

our dominos is awesome tho, never had a bad one from them.

how many people receive a dominos within 32 minutes of ordering? anytime I ordered from them it always took at least 40-50 minutes although papa johns are roughly the same so it's not like I'm trying to have a go at dominoes just calling BS on that statement.

I remember when dominos first appeared didn't it used to be free unless it arrived within 30mins?

What was the email for head office anyway? I'll try to get them to fix my postcode

XL papa johns is bigger than dominos largest size :D papa johns large is the same as dominos large but they do xl as well

although I think they are about £1-2 more but papa johns do tons of offers like the football one they are doing now.

all this pizza talk is making me want to buy one :(

papa johns + pick your team + any time they score 2+ goals in a game you get a nice email

That code is prob still valid if anyone is ordering from papa johns I never used it

i got that email also, but my local papa johns does any large pizza any time for £7.99 (collection)
and as their large pizza's are priced on the menu at £16.49 it makes the 50% off deal cost even more at £8.25 so its a naff deal for me
i was hoping for better deals than that with this football thing they are doing

:(

All the time. Helps that I've always lived within 5 mins though.

They've always been pretty good for us, and we order a redivulous amount of pizza over the years. Only issue recently was they sent the spicey chicken wings rather than normal as they'd run out. Complained and got a free pizza within 15 mins :D

I used to use a local independant Pizza dealer but the quality dropped and never picked up again, so we switched to Dominos.

We had a bad experience with the quality last year so I left a detailed but polite message on the online feedback form that shows up when you track online. Since then every pizza we get is superb and they are very generous with the toppings :).

Probably because they have this 50% deal at the moment so are getting loads more orders than usual. No excuse though.

I don't order pizza very often, but they are always ridiculously quick from my local one in London. I find they deliver before that pizza tracker thing they have is even updated to say its on the way out.

Never had an issue with delivery from our local store although the online tracking thing they have to show the progress seems completely useless. The last pizza we ordered was supposedly still in the oven when it arrived!
