Donkey Konga + Bongo Controller / Wii compatable?

Can't find anything on this.

Just a quick check that the controller and game are fine on the Wii?

I will be amazed if nobody has tried this yet.

It's an awesome game, even my Dad liked it! And it does deffo work, the controller plugs in exactly the same as the normal GC controllers do

Just was rather worried about the backwards compatibility of the peripherals due to my experiences with the PS2 from the original PS.

Hopefully be with me just after new year. Then all I need is a Wii.

The difference though is that IIRC, most consoles try and emulate for backwards compatibility. The Wii doesnt. As its basically a higher clocked GC with more memory. Theres no emulation of any type to do. Which makes compatibility very high.

Indeed. Well one is for ebay. I bought 2 Donkey Kongas, and 3 Donkey Konga Jungle Beats. Gives me two sets of bongos, my brother two sets of bongos and one for ebay.

Two player jamming is immense, cant wait to set all four up

They were in the sale, probably will sell until they are all gone as they are relatively old, and will just appear as old stock to a manager not in the know.

The place I bought was a toy retailer, specfically the Teesside park store. Also know the Metro Centre one had the Jungle Beat packs, but the game is quite poor. Donkey Konga kicks ass big style, so much so Ive just ordered number two second hand from a gaming store.

it does, all 3 games can be had in bongo bundles.

I quite liked jungle beat, its quite fun especially towards the end.

I wonder if that new one will get released the racing game? I seem to rem also ru mours of DK3 coming out in Japan ?
