If that's the kind of shopping trolle- uh, I mean car* that will be there then I think I might just give it a miss ;)

* - No, I really do think I mean shopping trolley. I could also mean "barry'd up pile of toss", definitely don't think car is quite the right word at any rate.

Yup as i live in Doncaster, its full of boy racers, people racing up and down the bit of dual carriageway thats left, chavs all over the place, and generally soooooo packed you cant swing a finger let alone an arm.

It's at Donnington now so Doncaster should be a bit quieter from now on!

I actually went about 4/5 yrs ago:o

aha do you know what i didnt notice that at all....my mistake in saying in what i did....i retract it for the present show...but in the past thats what it was like here.

Donny's also a blummin huge rip off.

It used to be looked forward to for those of us who go to the modded car shows, since it was the opening show to the new year's season. New cars and projects get unveiled for the first time in public so you generally see lots of new stuff. However, the organisers just kept extracting the urine with regards to the costs. It's now virtually as expensive to take a show car as it is to get in as public, then they charge you daft prices for camping too.

I and plenty of others from the RSC boycotted the show a few years back as a protest at the prices, but amazingly they've gone up again, and the stand is still packed out.

You won't see me there though :D

I went last year and will not go this year even though its literally 10 mins from my house. The place was full of scum wandering round with cans of carling. When we arrived last year, went through the tunnel to get to the infield to be greeted by what could only be described as some sort of scene from a post nuclear holocaust. The chavs were adorning the banks near the camping area like there was a food convoy coming through, drooling... You could almost hear them taking notes of what they could steal off your car. Almost every one of them has some sort of alcohol related drink in thier hand and that was at 8.30am! The day wasnt any better with just the time attack and d1 to keep me remotely interested. A friend of mine had a trade stand and was forced to camp with the mutants... He came through the tunnel and right infront of him a transit van full of chavs with cans of beer rolled over... The occupants just got out to numerous cheers so my mate turned his car round and left...

Truly scumworthy event... Steer Clear!

I agree, the only highlight for me was that Terry.. someone..? forget his name - doing donuts in the TVR and that little Toyo car.
