i said 9-5 as that is the most comon hours of work. so what then, you live yours lives around ocuk? :D

No. I work shifts upon which the day of the week has no bearing, so I may be working at night on the weekends and off work for a few days during the week whereas other weeks I may be working most of the week from very early in the morning (~5am) or from late in the afternoon (~5pm) depending on the roster.

Shiftwork rocks, so much more time to yourself.

yeah, scuzi is online at all kinds of odd times.

i reckon he has a pron addiction or something.

I have no evidence for this, but my sources tell me it might be true.

my sources being my imagination and mr jameson

I prefer the term 'enthusiast' rather than addict :p

Air traffic controller arn't you Scuzbot?

Those dukes cant work 9-5's everyday(least i think so)

Aye, for example I've been off work for the past 4 days but I'm in tomorrow and Monday morning at 7am. 2pm start on Tuesday and Wednesday and a 4pm start on Thursday and Friday then another 4 days off.

So why so many days off? To stop you lot getting stressed/is ATC actually stressful?

Handling a couple of thousand of lives a day might just stress something

It's to prevent fatigue and stress to a certain degree. There's a legal limit to the amount of hours that can be worked in a day and the amount of days that can be worked in a row.
In an 8 hour shift I rarely work more than 4-4.5 hours :D

Hmmm might become an ATC ¬_¬

I leave the house at 8:30am and don't get home from work until 6:30pm, sometimes as late as 9pm. I certainly don't monitor anything here 24/7 although I do have a window open at most times ;) It's a case of using RTM's, having friendly folk on MSN and knowing which thread subjects are most likely to contain rule breaking material.

Absolutely nothing to do with the post above and just added it to get his attention, but is the Rose & Crown Hotel still standing there and if so does it still have those horribly yellow painted bricks? :)

In case your wondering why, I used to be the General Manager there.
