don't be afraid to catch feels...

Was that meant to be read a different way?

You missed out Generation Z.

Generation Z (also known as iGeneration, Centennials, Post-Millennials or Homeland Generation in the U.S.)”

Well going by the wiki list, I call Millennials Generation Y and Generation Z Millennials :p

Kids born in the mid 00s aren't even proper teens yet, so they don't count :D

People tend to think the world was better when they were adolescents and young adults, but I was born in the 60s and I think the 90s were generally the best time so far in the UK even though in many important ways my life is better now.

Five finger death punch. That's a swell name.

I thought I was generation X. At least that's what MTV told me. I don't know anymore. As long as I get my Horlicks and tablets before 8pm you can call what you want.

Yeah
90's were awesome pre camera phone, pre social media.

You can't do anything these days without some knob head capturing it on camera and posting it on social media. It's taken some of the fun out of nights out and other activities.

Hardly anyone enjoys and lives in the moment anymore. It drives me nuts at concerts/gigs with people watching pretty much the whole thing through a phone screen when they are 25 feet away from the stage ffs!

I'd go back to being a teenager in the 90s in a heartbeat. Most fun time of my life as I had my first real job, money, great friends and it seemed like endless opportunities. :) Glad I experienced life before and during the rise of the net. :D

Part of it is nostalgia for sure, but I've rarely met anyone of any age who didn't think the 90's had some brilliant times.

I think there was a subconscious that the millennium and year 2000 would take us into a new age of enlightenment. I think it kind of did but not the one anyone wanted. I honestly feel like after 9/11 we woke up and the party was over. The 00s were like the hangover after the 90s. I don't think it's any coincidence that the last big youth "movement" this country had was the whole emo thing.

It seems there are no real youth groups now because the youth in constantly fed distraction by social media and have little time to develop anything of their own.

^ Agreed

everyone lives life through a screen

I guess there maybe are youth movements it's they just live inside social media and are not presented in the ways of the past which are fashion and music.

Life does seem to be about trending now. Sports does it, news, racing, broadcast/radio, gaming, shopping channels whatever it is everyone is doing it.

I’ve also noticed how gaming has changed compared to 10 years ago. How few gamers talk to each other through the game because everyone is recording or streaming.

Hey!
Not nothing ever last forever, no
One minute you're here and the next you're gone
So I respect you, wanna take it slow
I need a mental receipt to know this moment I owe
