I would say a new machine for the price of a 1070 card would certainly be fair. The upgrade to the gt73 could perhaps be slightly cheaper.
Me too: GTX1070 MXM = £596 today x 1.2 = £715, I shold also get to keep the 980m to resell as you would in a normal MXM upgrade.
