have just found out that my brother's cancer cant be treated and he probably hasnt got much time left, the family is in pieces. just thought id try and get this off my chest

Dont know what condition he is in, but it might be nice if you find out something he has always wanted to do and go do that with him even if it costs a bit. Some skydiving etc?

I know that don't help you, and though I have never been in that kind of situation I would just want to make sure they were happy and had done everything they wanted to. Make sure you tell him how you feel about him, you dont want to be regretting not saying things to him in the future.

just make sure the time he has is quality time with you and your family, the time to mourn will come when it comes, until then be strong and give him the normality he probably needs and wants.

Make the time you have left count. Spend as much time with him as possible - take time out of work if necessary/possible.

hes 44, been having treatment for 18mts he has a tumor on his spine that they cant operate on, thanks everyone jsut need to get it off my chest

That sucks, really does, lost my best friend to cancer a long time back, spend every second you can with him and build up those memories - they are what you'll need later on.
