Mates motherboard has gone, so looking to replace. Wants to watch blu ray, and surf the net.

That is an mATX motherboard just so you're aware...

Is it just for net surfing, or is there a possibility that he'll be upgrading for gaming/other uses in the future?

Finally has his CPU and RAM gone as well, or does he need just a motherboard?

He has some flight sim with a proper remote controller, other than that nope, just Internet, DVDs and blu ray.

Nothing wrong with his ram or CPU but he wants an upgrade, all the other stuff is quite new. Has a branded psu, 2 TB hd.
