I've always wondered about this - I see this message on the toilets in airplanes, and some ships.

Does this mean you can't throw anything down, including used toilet paper? Have you got to put that in the bin?

man i feel sorry for the guy that cleaned out the bin after youd been in

i think it means no stuff that you wouldnt normally put in there

I always seem to manage to flood the bowl... did it today... lets just say I needed a carrier bag and reach on in... not a pleasent experience I might add.

Carrier bags aren't waterproof. They have those small holes on them.

Dude try a wire coathanger ;)

my old housemate dropped a mug down the toilet and tried to flush it (he'd been drinking) took a few days of flushing to clear the lot :p

In South Korea you're not supposed to flush any toliet paper/pads/tampons etc.. as the pipes are smaller than your finger.

It wall goes in a bin in civilised places, or a open basket in others.. yes I said open. :-)

Newer apartments have better plumbing.

same as on the greek island aegina (sp?)

Yeah, most Greek places have bad plumbing in them.

Although when I went to Zante I managed to get away with flushing a bit of toilet paper without blocking it.
