I am not mining, just a 3090FE owner and did not see the mining part on above thumb but have since but it is easier (or was 1 month ago) to get a 3090FE than a 3080FE so best get one if you can before it becomes impossible.

Go back a few months to October time and people were foaming at the mouth with torches and pitchforks if you mentioned you were buying one...

now in hindsight people a) realise 3080's are hens teeth b) with mining being a boon for the past three months its kind of not so expensive once you realise the profit has paid off the difference between a 3080 right now.

To be fair my 3090FE hit 70c in gaming but when I did a smidge of mining, (about 2 hours) it hit 104c at full chat, but who runs at the max when mining?

try unlimiting your fps in games bam 100
if your hitting 70 in games you have to be locked at 60

Oh yeah, I said back then that, if I'd not got a 3080 then I'd have bought a 3090. But at prices then. 3080 owners are a lucky few, mnoreso for the successful FE cards. It'll be interesting to see when the price of 2nd hand FE's bought at RRP, drop below RRP.

sure in isolation - the point was that ETH profit is so high you will get 1400 back in 8 weeks

if you're worried about price volatility don't hold coins, sell everything you've mined once a week to get the cash out quick

Assuming it stays as profitable as it is currently. Crypto from what i recall of past booms peaks and troughs pretty regularly.
