...people start a question in a thread title, and trail off into the OP? I can't just ignore the post, because it may be something interesting or important, but what's so damn hard about putting the whole question in the thread title? If you can't fit it in, summarise.

These forums have a feature where you can hover your mouse over the topic title and the first few lines appear in a tooltip. You could always use that.

It’s useful but some of the OP posts are rubbish and the following thread doesn’t disappoint, so you can’t win and have to look.
