out of curiosity, why isnt the suit a finished product to begin with?

It's fairly snug fitting, hence they allow you to trim it to your own body shape.

Plus it's meant to be a kit for prop builders/cosplayers to alter if necessary.

The finished kit is $1800. I got the kit for the preorder price of $350. Its currently $650 to buy the kit. I plan on joining the 501st New England Garrison, im already signed up to the forums etc.
It should be a fun build there are 4 of us at work that bought them.

People above do realise this is basically the same kit as they wear in the movie? It's essentially a prop replica, albeit also a wearable costume, not some cheap knock off. The fact you have to trim it yourself is to allow for different fits/body sizes.

I think the problem is some of the folk on here don't get what it is.

So... What do you plan on doing when you've finished this outfit of yours? Casually go outside with it or what? I don't understand it, but whatever floats your boat I guess.

you don't have to do anything with it. it's like buying a figurine from a movie or similar, you don't actually need to do anything with it.

personally I'd love one and would happily wear it out for a day - just to see peoples reactions if nothing else!
