Doom locked at 60FPS

I had this issue and had to switch off vertical sync in Nvida control panel. Sometimes driver updates seem to put it back on.

And you're on Win 10? It was running at 90+ FPS in Win 8.1 for me. It's only since moving to Win 10 I've had this issue. Bethesda are in communication with me anyway... they've requested my dxdiag and msinfo32 files, but I don't know what that will tell them. I simply can't figure it out... every other game I have runs fine up to 100FPS.

Updated my post. But yes i'm on W10.

Sorry to bring up an old post.

Picked Doom up in the sale.

I've got a 970 and a GSync monitor.
With Vsync on, it locks to 60fps, but is silky smooth.

If I turn it off, I got 100fps+ but with horrendous microstutter?

Any thoughts?

******IGNORE - I double checked and my desktop was set to 60hz - changed it to 144hz and voila!!*******

Gotta love PC gaming, console users ask the question 'will we get a locked 60fps?', we ask 'Why am I restricted to only 60fps?!' :D
