Just saw this and downloaded doom_ray_tracing_1.1.zip, unzipped and launched Ray Tracing Doom.exe found it contained both DOOM and DOOM 2 BFG Edition.

Ran DOOM RTX first and I was amazed at ray tracing mod added ray tracing global lighting effects, realistic reflections, refraction, shadows, ambient occlusion and global illumination in classic DOOM which was released back in 1993. Then I ran DOOM 2 RTX and holy crap I loved it and played through the first level. Ray tracing looked amazed in both games. :D

Cant wait for someone to do RTX mod for old games like Wolfenstein 3D, DOOM 3, Quake, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Unreal etc. :)

Are you sure this is the RTX version? Read the comments, they say it's just GZDoom.

Shoot a vid for us non_rtx folk. :)

edit

This doesn't seem to be the version linked by OP.

EDIT -

DSOG been updated -
Doom RTX released; mod bringing real-time ray tracing to the classic Doom game via the Vulkan API [UPDATE: Fake]

UPDATE:
According to reports, this mod is based on the banned Doom Remake 4. Some users claim that the “texture_lights.wad” file from both releases is the same. As such, there is a chance that this mod may not feature proper ray tracing effects. After examining two videos, we found some similarities and some differences between Doom Remake 4 and Doom RTX. Therefore, we are issuing this update to inform you about the possibility of it being fake. On the other hand, the modding team claims that it has not stolen anything. Moreover, the modding team claims that this mod is indeed using ray tracing effects.

UPDATE 2:
Under further investigations, it appears that this mod is indeed based on Doom Remake 4, and does not use real-time ray tracing. This mod uses GZDoom which does not feature any ray tracing capabilities. This very same mod was uploaded on ModDB back in June 2019 and was taken down by its moderators. However, this time the ModDB moderators were not quick enough to delete this new entry. So yeah, while this mod improves visuals, it basically borrows a lot of stuff from other mods. Not only that, but it does not feature any ray tracing effects. Bummer.

Looks like more RTX owners that don't recognise what ray tracing does

It's not a mod, it's loading the doom WADs into a completely new engine, with new assets.

Does look pretty sweet though :)

Didnt even realise this existed. Reason for it being banned explained here

https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/bethesdas-legal-department-drops-the-hammer-on-doom-remake-4-mod/

Doom Remake 4 is (or was) a massive mod compilation, first released in August 2018, that brings Classic Doom into the modern era. We took a look at the updated Experimental Edition in May and it was very impressive, with 3D models, high-resolution textures, physical based rendering, and bodies you can blast into sticky chunks because they're not just sprites anymore. The core game itself remained completely unchanged, however: The maps and weapons are both exactly as they were in the original game.

I did a mod video on this a while ago. Doesn't look like there's RTX running anyway so it must be the same mod(s) I used at the time. :)

Yeah, once I looked for something I came across it. Not RTX but damn, it looks so good!

Anyone got an alternative link for the "banned" mod? Because OFC, you can't really ban something from the internet ;)

PM sent, managed to snag it before it got taken down.
