Doom - The Dark Ages (2025)

ROI from day one 4090 purchase is so good; it's worked out to $1.5 per day to buy this GPU and still has great near leading performance today, and by the time a 6090 is out it would be under $1 per day to still have the 2nd fastest GPU on the market for 5 years straight

2nd best. Poor Grim. Got knocked of his high horse by Jensen

Seen a few reviews about this. Seems the mech and dragon parts of the game are pretty rubbish and the shield as I thought when I first saw it doesn't make the game feel very Doom like. Fighting Cyber Demons is just a case of standing at their feet, parry with shield as they try and stamp on you and melee them back until dead. They said it's not a bad game just gameplay isnt very Doom like.

Sometimes 3rd best especially if you factor in overclocks ;)

Mfg in all seriousness though is utterly fantastic on a 240hz screen, even the 5090 needs to use it to get the most out of a 240hz in the most demanding games at 4k (even if using dlss performance)

I remember playing most of eternal on a higher difficulty but had to lower it on the final boss just to finish it.
eternal was annoying with the platforming and the having to use specific ammo/weaps aginst weak points, i have heard this is more like 2016 where you can just let rip :D

I'm going to try this out at midnight for the early access, under 2 hours trial of course then refund and wait until Weds for the gamepass version. get to see if there are any differences between the two platforms too.

And then splash £70 on it when there is

No as I only intend to play and complete in a month so don't really care if there is a difference, as any difference won't be huge anyway on a 4090 (if there is any) - SI for a month of Gamepass that will be all. Not the kind of game I care to return to after completion just like Eternal.

Lol. Why mention it then? :p

As a techie, curiosity to see if there is any difference, and of course get to play up to 2 hours a few days early, that's why, surely that was self explanatory anyway.
