This is disgusting!! I only bought my 50 about a week ago and now to find out ive missed out on this game (considering the price of the game) im gutted. Just another kick in the teeth after the 2600 I paid. Absolutely indefensible
 
Ive been told by overclockers that because I ordered on the 25th and the cut off date is the 29th I will not get a code. Absolutely unbelievable. ive always been a fan of nvidia but these prices for what is not a exceptional card and now this has changed my view. Im also very angry with overclockers because the date they send out codes is 29th, covering thereselfs to the returns date, so everyoneelse will not be able to return there card unless im wrong about this? Ill return mine and just order again if im able. My anger is boiling, how they can do this is beyond me

It sucks but thats the way Promo are run and I have been where you are... All the companies are following the same rules. Now imagine if the price of your card went up £100 after you bought it - you would feel great right - now imagine if they wanted you to pay the extra £100 after you have already paid - it works both ways
 
Amd do it with their Cpus as well. It's pretty common to release it without a bonus and then shove one a few months in. I wouldn't buy hardware near to launch without the bonus if it bothers you really since I don't think they're going to change. It's just another thing they do to try and get more business, loyalty be damned.

Wouldn't be too distraught, it's;

A) On game pass
B) Because its a promo AND on game pass, it's not going to be expensive for long, especially once this 2 day 'early access' is gone

TL;DR once you've paid £30 RMSD to send back your gpu you may as well have just bought the game yourself.

I'm not convinced it'll drop in price that much so quickly, Indiana Jones hasn't and that was one of the previous free game with hardware promotions that was also on gp.

That said I agree about game pass, you can get codes for gp pretty cheap and I don't see it being a long game so you'd easily get it done in the months sub.

I just feel robbed, if we knew about these beforehand we could make a planned choice. Ive missed by a weekend and I paid extra for saturday delivery. Imagine why im butthurt.
 
Nvidia big up the 2 day early access even though the path tracing patch doesn't release for another month
I'd rather wait a month tbh
 
This whole thing seems like a bit of a farce. I bought my 5090 a week or so ago, but didn't get a code. That was quickly sorted thanks to the team here at OCUK. So far, so good.

However, no matter what I try, I just cannot get the code to work. I've tried all the online "solutions", different browsers, with/without VPN, tethered mobile hotspot, reinstalling nVidia app, etc. Nothing. It takes me to a broken web page or gives a message that I don't have the correct hardware installed.

I decided to give it one more go today and got a different message. Apparently, my code has already been used! WTH? I can't see any Doom Dark Ages game in my Steam list...

I can't be bothered any more. :mad::cry:

EDIT: Ironically, I just received a message and a code through the nVidia app for a limited edition Doom The Dark Ages skin. That works fine... :rolleyes:

Funnily enough I too just received a code in the Nvidia App despite already redeeming a code?
 
So, I spent over an hour on the online chat with nVidia this morning and managed to successfully get my code redeemed. No idea how. We went through various steps (including completely removing firewall protection, grr) and it still wouldn't work. I re-enabled my firewall and put my settings back to their usual values. The rep then mentioned that, despite the failures I was seeing, that the code was partially redeemed on my account. I'm assuming he pressed some buttons as he suggested I logged out all my accounts, and then log in again. Boom, it worked. Go figure!

The additional code is for a character skin to give the Doomslayer a different look. It's separate to the game promo offer code. I can confirm that works, too ("well, it works on my machine...").

It's wild 5090s at £2k are flying out the door. Even 5080 nearer £1k. My 3080 FE at £650 is a distant memory

Bravo Gibbo and team again though doing what they can to get the hardware into gamers hands
