Devs would be stupid not to use Async when a large proportion of sales are from the console market. As more games show the gains that can be achieved, no doubt it will become standard practice in all game development.
As we've seen with ROTTR it can also be replaced before reaching PC.
In that beta demo the Fury is about 20% ahead of the 980ti at 1440P, that's frightening.
Is that the official AMD view, or will we be seeing another deleted post and frantic back tracking.
Here is what the developer has to say:
The developer is saying that the Xbone version is also using AS, if it was Xbone only then they would not have used the word also. So are you stating that the developer is wrong and that it has been removed.
More clear than the words of the developer stating that they use it.Even with the DX12 patch I doubt AC was included since the game actually loses frames compared to DX11 in most cases according to the built in benchmark anyway. If the Xbox version does use it then it's quite clear that the deal with Nvidia eliminated it from the PC version.
Such as hobble Hitman so that a 390X beats a 980ti in DX11.The ROTTR devs may not have wanted to do that but we all know how Square Enix operates and would do anything for cash.
Developers love Asynchronus Compute that is present on all GCN graphics cards. We've not seen its full performance capability yet.![]()
