Door fitting wtf?!!?

Having 3 bedroom doors replaced, now im aware that, yes there will be some minor alterations to the door dimensions needed, but the cheapest quote I got for fitting them (ive purchased them) was £140 per door?!?!!

Not to put too fine of a point on it, but are they having a sodding laugh?

I will be doing them myself, I just thought what a **** take, I was willing to pay a couple hundred quid for it to be done, but not to that degree.

Frankly your 'minor alterations' could mean anything.

Taking 2 mm off the sides (so 1mm a side).

Have you got an electric plane?

I do, I have already done one door and it took me an hour to take the edges off, and hang it. Considering that was my first attempt at door hanging ever, I imagine someone who knows what they were doing could have done it in considerably less.

Thats great. Better to take your time and do it right than rush and end up with a dolls house door! lol
