I picked up an old classic yesterday off ebay - Star Wars X-Wing, the original version.

Ive got it working with DosBox but it wants to access the CD when launching/playing the game, I want to try and run it without the CD.

Is there any way of copying the contents of the CD to a folder on my HDD and then changing the DosBox config so it sees this folder as the CD ROM?

I did find some info on the net but it only refers to making a CD Image of the CD in a ISO, BIN or CUE format. Can I do it without having to make an image of the CD or is this the only way?

Yep, it's perfectly possible. You just make a CD drive (D:) and point to a folder on your HDD. It then takes the content of that folder as though it were the content of a CD in the drive.

Can't remember the exact commands right now, though!
