I havent played myself but what I can gather its a lot like the first but with a new engine and of course better graphics, there are some new bits but they have also took some clasic heroes/champs from Dota

I play LoL and i know its different but its somthing I am looking to get into and attempt the MASSIVE Learning curve, just hope they make it noob friendly with Bot Modes and also summit to do with Afker's

Valve are trying to make it exactly the same as the original in every respect. The only things they are purposefully changing are things that occured as a result of engine limitations from the original game, and using a newer engine.

All heroes will be the same, the map is the same, items are the same...

If you play the original then you will probably benefit more than by playing HoN or LoL, but the original looks so horrible I would rather play HoN :p Stay away from LoL IMO, I swear most people who played LoL were worse than people who had never played a moba before.

Yup, I just found it in my library too. Quite surprising considering I just randomly chose answers in the survey.

Yeah same, in fact I skipped most of it and left default answers because I couldn't answer them as they were relevant to experience in Dota 1.

I don't disagree with this, hon is very similar to data 2 so if you want a flavour of it then it's really worth trying, if you don't like it then most likely dota 2 won't appeal

Lol is a different game, style play etc - massively more popular than hon, could be hon made bad calls at the beginning re audience and pricing but either way it will take dota 2 to determine which style is the king of the mobas

I must admit that I have played HoN when I first came across Dota 2 (didn’t play Dota) and they are two different style of games. I first announced that I haven’t played HoN before at the start of the game, but I researched into it with videos and guides before playing. I got told that I wasn’t as bad as they where expecting lol. So I think I will enjoy playing Dota 2 but be more careful and again research/watch videos of guides and things. I told my brother about it and he said it seems complicated and I said no it’s not really; you just need to play tacitly lol and don’t rush or waste manna spamming spells. You need to co-ordinate your attacks and get the upper hand by denying/killing other heroes.

I will try and play with him watching or in the same room so I can give him pointers as we play.

I only filled in the questionnaire a couple of weeks ago so I dowt I will get an invite but can only hope cant I ha-ha

Got my key last night, played one game got my killed a lot, I have played HON a lot and quite good at it, but the reason i was getting killed was due to the button settings, so halfway through the game i went to the control settings, and managed to assign to how i want,
which made things so much better, i will have a few more games later tonight but not sure at this stage if i like it as much as HON!!

I am playing both LoL and HoN which are great for both different style of gameplay. But it would be sharpishly replaced by Dota 2 if I got an invite or if any keys that could be given to me lol. Not sure if they still have a friend invite but worth a try because I am itching to play this so bad.

Steam:Clartymarty
LoL:Clarticus

Anyone got a link to a good guide or something that explains what you're supposed to do and stuff? I'm just watching a random game now (I've watched a few pro matches a while ago, during downtime at SC2 tournaments) but I don't understand even slightly what's happening, or what they're trying to do :p.
